Did you know that just the act of pampering yourself can reduce your stress? Yep, sure can. And actually it's simple. Just your regular spa time can help you relax, sleep better and take your mind off worries.
Look at all the things we do to help keep us younger-looking and fit. We eat right, exercise, drink plenty of water. So why not include those other things that will take care of our external bodies and reduce our stress.
Just the act of doing them can help us calm down in a stressful situation. Like spending time giving ourselves a nice foot bath and pedicure. The half hour it takes to do that will be a half hour where we don't wallow in the anger over what a co-worker did. We stop thinking about the boss's idiot decision, the kids latest mess, or the problem of finding time to get the dog to the vet for the annual shots.
Now, wouldn't you just love to have even a half an hour where those things aren't racing through your mind? That's what pampering can do for you. Take your mind away.
And that is reducing your stress levels. You make your feet look better, you feel great and you reduce your stress. That makes you healthier inside and out. All in one pampering activity. Ooo, I love that triple duty stuff.
