Scented Oils Make Spa Time Special

If you think good smells are just to keep your nose happy, I have some great news for you. Scents also play a big part in our overall well-being. Different scents can improve our moods, relax our stress-filled bodies and even energize us for an evening out. Yep, all that, and lots more, just from what you smell.

It's called aromatherapy. And it's been studied and researched quite extensively. There are even people who are professionals in aromatherapy. So maybe now is a good time to learn a little more yourself.

The Basics of Scented Oils

Scented oils, also called essential oils (for a good reason) are an easy way to use your nose to help your whole body. Here are some of the simple things to know:
  • Scented oils need warm water to release their fragrance
  • Different scents help different things about your well-being
  • Oils can be mixed to create personal effects
  • Sets of oils, from basic to extensive, are easily available
  • Only a few drops are needed to have that great effect

Fun Facts to Get You Started

Of course, you need to know a bit more, so let me provide that. First, it's fun to learn that not all mint smells effect you in the same way. Like, did you know that spearmint is an energizer, while peppermint can calm an upset stomach?

Lavender is a great scent for relaxing your muscles after a tough day. It also help calm your overly active mind. Just imagine how well you will sleep when you've had a warm bath with lavender drops before bed. Yep, that's how great aromatherapy is.

Make Spa Time Special with Scented Oils

OK, so you've gotten a few basics and fun facts about scented oils. Got you intrigued, didn't I? Before you run out and buy the first thing you find, take a look at Aromatherapy Scented Oils Sets to help you get a better idea of what you should be looking for. It will help you determine which scents or sets of scents to choose.

A word of note here - oils can be oily. Yes, I just said that! Even though you will only be using a few drops in your bathtub, it's important to take some care with oils. You certainly won't sleep better if you've just had a fall in the tub!

Most important, though, enjoy your spa time. That's our whole goal.

Give the Gift of Relaxing At Home Spas

Relaxation. What a great gift for just about everyone. So how do you give that kind of gift? With a relaxing spa basket, of course. All the ingredients needed to enjoy spa time at home go into each gift basket.

Actually, we are talking about aromatherapy here. Certain scents that reach our brains through our noses cause us to relax. Scents like vanilla and lavender are well known to hit nerve sensors in our brain that help us to calm down from stress. The scent of sandalwood does a similar thing, but it's often referred to as balance, rather than calming.

Soaps and lotions with these kind of scents make great gifts. Especially for those people who could use a bit of relaxation in their lives. OK, so who couldn't use some relaxation?

My youngest daughter is one of those full-time working moms. Her two daughters are young and relaxing spa gift basket along with a babysitting coupon. Oh, yes, she used that coupon and kept the little ones while she took time to give herself an at-home spa. Of course, she loved it. It was one of those gifts that she requests often!
keep her hopping and on the go all day long. My gift to her was a

Even if you can't offer the gift of babysitting, you can still offer the gift of relaxation. Nearly everyone these days has some hectic time in their lives. And they can all use a chance to relax and reduce stress through some spa time. So relaxing spa gift baskets make a great choice for any of those on your gift list.

Some of the gift baskets come with not only soaps and lotions, but also with little extras. Loofah sponges are popular, but things like back brushes and body scrubbers may also be included. There are even some gift baskets that include food or drink treats. Imagine enjoying a luxurious spa bath and nibbling delicious cookies while sipping on a fancy tea or latte. Now, that sounds relaxing to me.

Bubble Bath Gift Ideas for Mothers

Every mother deserves some time to pamper herself. As a mother myself, I love bubble baths. And I love trying new bubble bath products. Maybe a new scent, maybe a new look, even a new type of bath things to add in.

That's what fun about celebrating Mother's Day in my world. I usually get something fun to use with my bubble baths. So I sort of put together a little wishlist. Some of the really fun gift items that will work great for Mother's Day gifts.

Admit it. You are always trying to come up with good gift ideas for your mother. Every year for her birthday, Mother's Day, maybe even Christmas, you run through as many options as you can. You keep trying to find a great idea for her.

Bubble baths are something that we all can enjoy. Just the relaxation time can be a great stress reducer. But, there are plenty of other reasons to enjoy a great bubble bath. When we make use of the scented bubble baths, they can help us with many health benefits.

Those great bubble baths not only help keep our skin feeling great, but they do so much more for our moods, feelings and general well-being. Isn't that a great gift to give to your mother? So stop wracking your brain for the perfect gift idea. Give your mother the joy and relaxation of a great bubble bath.

Aromatherapy for Your Pampering Time

Don't we all love our pampering time? I know I certainly do. I make use of that time to change a bad mood, improve my spirits, relax from a stressful day, or get myself energized for a fun evening out. Amazing that I can do all of that, right?

Wrong - it's simple to do with just a few drops of the appropriate aromatherapy scented oils. Our sense of smell plays a large part in our moods and feelings. And different scents can cause different changes in our moods.

Aromatherapy is a long-known part of our lives. So we can use with the assurance that it's not bad for us. Actually it can be very good for us. Just reducing stress is beneficial for our health.

But, how about energizing yourself to face a tough day? That can help you even prevent stress. Now, how great is that?

That's what you can do with different aromatherapy essential oils. The different scents cause different reactions for our moods and feelings. So start with a set of oils. Then choose the one that you need at the moment. Add a few drops to your warm bath water or your oil diffuser. Then relax and enjoy it's effect on you.

Pretty simple, but very valuable for our at-home-spa time. For me, that's an important added benefit.

Automatic Body Scrubbers - Refreshing Pampering

Skin care includes exfoliating. It always does and always should. The body is constantly building new skin cells, so what happens to the old ones? They are pushed to the surface of your skin. Exfoliating removes those dead skin cells.

Now, how about doing it the easy way? An automatic body scrubber is the easiest way. The rotating heads do a wonderful job of exfoliating, but they also message your skin. Isn't that great? It is for me.

I love my body scrubber. It's a cordless electric one. When I'm not using it, it sits in a charger, out of the way. Then I just take my body scrubber and my dreamy lotion and refresh my skin. It's so simple.

Personally, I use my body scrubber all over my skin. My knees, elbows and heels get some extra attention. But my legs and arms get the body scrubber treatment, too.

I have given automatic body scrubbers as gifts as well. I can tell you, the recipients were thrilled. It's so much fun to give a gift that I know will be appreciated because I know how much I love mine.

OK, granted I have a daughter who uses her stress-reducing pampering time to truly relax. She takes her favorite bottle of wine with her, along with a great novel and soaks in a bubble bath. She uses her body scrubber first. That way she can just dry off and just climb into bed ready for a good night's sleep.

Spa for Men Gift Baskets

Spa time is usually considers a woman's domain. But it doesn't have to be. Men can enjoy and appreciate the benefits of spa treatments as well.

We all need a time to pamper ourselves and care for our bodies. Spa style pampering is great for reducing stress in our lives. Men need that too. I can't think of a single man that I care for who doesn't have some kind of stress level.

Plus, we all want to look good. Men do, too. Spa treatments are designed not only to help us relax and feel good, but look good also. The spa treatments designed for men are perfect to help men care for their skin. Nourishing and rejuvenating products, conditioning and relaxing products. They all help.

If you have a man that can use some pampering spa time, gift baskets make the ideal choice. Whether for a special occasion like Father's Day, birthdays, or Christmas, or just because, you can give the gift of those products designed just for men's skin care.

My favorite thing about spa gift baskets for men is that they have several different types of products. That means my husband, son, or father can try out new ways to care for his skin. Plus, they usually come with extras. Maybe good travel products, even fun shaving items.

With men being traditionally hard to shop for, a spa gift basket makes a simple choice. I do realize some men need convincing to try the products. But they may well thank you for how good they feel and look. Be sure to compliment them after they use the products. That helps.
